Dr. Margarita Savchuk

I’m Dr. Margarita Savchuk, a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working with adults of all ages and varying clinical presentations.

I firmly believe that my patients are the experts in their own lives. Through my genuine interest, curiosity, and empathetic guidance, I aim to empower those I work with to fully embrace their own wishes and desires. Equipped with my knowledge and professional expertise, I walk alongside each individual, supporting them every step of the way.

In therapy, I strongly emphasize the power of the therapeutic relationship itself. My approach is to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and personal growth. As our relationship develops, we will work together to build awareness and understanding of how your past experiences shape your current expectations, perceptions, and behaviors. This understanding is crucial as we work towards the psychological changes you seek, enhancing your day-to-day life. I invite you to come as you are; together, we will navigate the path forward.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Economics from Rutgers University, completed in 2016. After a year spent as a research assistant focusing on attachment research, I pursued a Master’s in Applied Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology at Long Island University-CW Post. Trained in a dual orientation program, I integrate both Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches in my practice, supplemented by training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
