Authentic Relationships
& Couples Therapy
In relationships we can find love, growth, and transformation. But when issues arise, we can also find disconnection, conflict, and pain. Relationships have an uncanny way of bringing interpersonal patterns, childhood wounds, traumas, vulnerabilities, and anxieties to the surface that require specialized care by a trained professional.
We treat couples seeking:
- Premarital counseling
- Improved communication
- To Address infidelity
- Non judgmental discussions about boundaries; including monogamy and non-monogamy
- Repairing a rupture in the relationship
- Increasing trust and safety
- Navigating separation & divorce

THEIR WISHES PERFECTLY CLEAR. BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT?”

Our Initial Appointment
We recognize that therapy is an incredibly personal process and one that requires connection and comfort between therapist and client.
The first meeting will be used to get a better understanding of you and what is bringing you into therapy right now. It is also an opportunity for you to sit with your therapist and feel out what it will be like to work with this person.
Within the first few sessions, your therapist will provide their feedback and recommendations and check-in with you to see if you are feeling comfortable enough and ready to begin the therapy process.
Your therapist will conduct an Intake Assessment towards learning more about you, your history, and presenting issues. Additionally, you and your therapist will discuss your goals in detail and determine whether you are a good fit to work together towards accomplishing these goals.

What To Expect
Your FIRST STEP – Schedule a brief phone consultation
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you have been in therapy before, we are excited to accompany you in this journey towards growth and healing.
If you have identified the therapist you wish to work with, you can contact them directly to set up a brief 15-minute call. However, if you are uncertain which of our therapists might be the best fit for you, our Operations Manager will be happy to assist you in doing so.
Schedule a 15-minute phone consultation with her here.
During the phone consultation, we will assess your unique needs and situation to ensure you are set up with the right member of our team. We will also discuss scheduling, billing, and answer your questions for us.
The Therapy Process
Once you and your therapist commit to working together, the therapy process begins. You will set out to accomplish your goals for therapy and address your issues and symptoms. Some clients begin to feel better within the first few sessions while others require more time to build trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship before addressing their issues and goals. Our therapists will meet you where you are at and customize a treatment plan based on YOUR needs.
Therapy can be a shorter-term process to address very specific goals in a time-limited manner. Therapy can also be a process of exploration and curiosity that seeks to bring about deep and meaningful change in the way you view yourself, others, and the world. Long-term therapy requires commitment and courage to exist in the present, face the past, and build a healthier future.

Billing & Fees
Going to therapy means that you’re making an important investment in your emotional health and wellbeing.
Our therapist’s fees vary depending on years of practice, specialized training, and the type of service being provided. These fees range from $200-$325 per session for individual treatment and $225-$350 for couples therapy.
We will work with you to minimize your out of pocket expense by using your health insurance and health saving accounts (FSAs & HSAs) to subsidize the cost of therapy.
Insurance
At the Center for Progressive Psychotherapy, we think that cost shouldn’t get in the way of receiving quality psychotherapy.
We work with most PPO and some POS plans. These include Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Cigna and United Healthcare (and others). However, no two insurance plans are ever the same.
Let us do the legwork for you. We recommend you reach out to our friendly support staff who can help check your benefits and let you know what your out-of-pocket costs will be.
